Declaration is a student-designed fashion magazine focused on Japanese fashion and its influence on youth culture. The project explored fashion as a form of self-expression, particularly the way emerging styles and trends from Japan have influenced fashion communities outside of Asia.

The magazine was built around the theme of rebellion and revolution, which informed the visual direction throughout the publication. I used a primarily black and red colour palette, experimental typography, and editorial layouts to create a bold visual identity suited to the subject matter.

The project required working within a strict brief for page count and content while maintaining consistency across the magazine.
