“Declaration” is a bold and experimental magazine that is focused on Japanese fashion for young adults. Japanese fashion has always been centered around self-expression and freedom. In recent years, it has exploded on social media with a variety of of trends and styles that have started to influence the youth fashion scene in the West. In this case clothing is used as an explicit statement of personality and freedom which is something that many youth strive towards today.
This magazine is geared towards people who are interested in fashion trends that are happening outside of the West. In the past few years, Asian fashion has slowly become popular world wide in tandem with the general popularity of Asian culture. With a focus on the theme of “rebellion and revolution” black and red are chosen as the main colours.
