NO HALF MEASURES
Editorial / Advertising / Wayfinding / Student Project
Goal: To study the work of a designer that inspired us and turn their style into an exhibition pitch.
Programs used: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
The brief provided for this project was to create an exhibition pitchbook based around a typographer that inspired us. The goal was to take the essence of their design and reinvent it into an exhibition for the chosen designer. I chose Felix Pfäffle and created the concept of “No Half Measures”, inspired by a quote from one of their interviews.
From the famous question of “is the glass half full or half?”, to the humorous half of a banana, the design was based on creating a series of playful yet stunning array of signage that would serve to capture the essence of the designer’s style. Illustrations and typography were mixed together to create a carefully controlled chaos that all tied into the idea of “No Half Measures”.
